I love to dance!

Dance has always been a part of my life. I grew up listening to music and moving my body. I started dancing ballet at 4 years old. From 6 until 18, I danced at Academy of Dance Arts where I learned all major forms of dance (ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, praise dance, pointe, and even some Latin dances). I then danced under scholarship at Columbia College, followed by a transfer to the University of South Carolina where I earned my bachelor’s degree in early childhood education with a minor in dance.

I taught kindergarten for 7 years in Richland School District 2. While teaching kindergarten in the district, I assisted with various productions and assemblies, including choreography. As a kindergarten teacher, I taught children letter sounds, math facts, sight words, etc. through dance. While teaching kindergarten in the district, I also taught all pre-level and beginning classes at Academy of Dance Arts. In 2018, my first child was born, and I stopped working to be a stay-at-home parent. Now, I am looking forward to teaching your children dance!
